News Flash: Life, Not Tobacco, Causes Death

Contrary to popular opinion, tobacco use does not cause death: LIFE does. Some statistics say that tobacco use causes 450,000 deaths a year. What, were those people destined to be immortal? Let's do the math. If there are 300 Million people in the United States, and the average lifespan is 75 years, that means 4 Million people die every year. In other words, 90% of deaths are NOT smoking-related...and yet, 4 Million people will die every year, REGARDLESS of tobacco involvement. Not a single death is preventable. The only sure way to avoid dying is to avoid being born in the first place. But since you're reading this, it's too late. You are going to die someday. The real question would seem to be, are you going to die following a life of needless worry and consternation? Or are you going to die after a life of pleasure and contentment? I pity the fool who wastes their life concerned with the "horrible" menace of tobacco.
